It has come to our attention that a number of fraudulent e-mails are being circulated purporting to be from eircom. These e-mails request eircom customers to provide their account information, including password.
The e-mail states that it is an official notification from eircom and claims that customers will need to enter these details to verify their account information.
This e-mail is NOT from eircom - it is a fraudulent attempt to obtain your account details.
If you have received this e-mail, DO NOT ENTER ANY DETAILS, report it to eircom and then delete it without clicking on any links or attachments.
If you have received such an e-mail:
do not reply with your password
do not click on any links on that e-mail.
do not open the attachment
delete the e-mail
We would like to remind you that although occasionally eircom may communicate with you via email, we will never ask you to confirm any passwords or billing information and eircom never sends email messages to customers with attachments.
